The sound of children’s laughter; catching sight of a perfectly formed rainbow; seeing my family at the end of a long work day; hanging out with friends just talking and laughing; a good book; cupcakes! 🙂 …I’m teaching myself to take pleasure in the simple things, so I’ll always have some measure of happiness in my life.

Puppy snuggles. Oh god puppy snuggles. They can turn the hardest goon into a silly, cooing and baby-talking pile of mush. Especially fat puppies….oh god fat puppy snuggles.

I take pleasure in the small things…dew drops on flowers, a perfect sunrise or breathtaking sunset, curling up in bed with a good book when it rains. But as a teacher, what really makes me happy is when you talk and talk yourself raw to your students, and continually chastise them to behave, or do homework, or study, or stop fighting (the list in endless, and you feel like you’re getting nowhere, and then they turn around and amaze you by getting you flowers, or bringing you chocolate because they remember that’s your weakness, or chip in to help out a fellow student…melts my heart.
And of course, cuppie cakes 😀

I can speak about what makes me happy in general, or even better, something that made me happy one hour ago :). I was called to my backyard by my overly enthusiastic mother, pleading with me to “come see this”! My exasperated mother was overjoyed to see the pumpkin seeds that she planted recently flourish into a bountiful green vine, overcoming the entire yard. And, better still, there are four huge pumpkins thriving heartily, the sight of each one renewing an even more brilliant smile on my mother’s face, a woman who’s greatest joy comes from planting seeds and walking and talking to the bare earth. A mud baby. What a wonderful idea it would be to incorporate the delicate flavour of pumpkin into cuppy cakes and bring smiles to the faces of passionate adults and children alike, the same smile that illuminated the face of my beautiful mother today 🙂

That’s easy… One bite of ANY Cupcake Wench cupcake makes me merry, joyful, jovial, gleeful, carefree, untroubled, delighted, in good spirits, in a good mood, lighthearted, pleased, contented, satisfied, gratified, buoyant, radiant, sunny, elated, exhilarated, ecstatic, blissful, euphoric, overjoyed, exultant, rapturous, in seventh heaven, on cloud nine, walk on air, jump for joy.

And the second bite doubles that 🙂
