Happy Anniversary to me!
January 12th was our three year wedding anniversary! M and I spent the day together. No big fancy celebration, just the two of us.
The weekend after though we decided to have some family and friends over. They were told it was for our anniversary. The real reason was to eat cake.
You see I wanted to make a cake that looked like a wedding cake so I could practice covering cakes with fondant (pretty new to it). We soon realised that the cake I had planned would mean there’d be way too much cake for us alone so we made a small event out of it.
I went with a tuxedo cake with white velvet and chocolate layers and alternating chocolate and vanilla buttercream filling.
It was soooooo good!
It looks divine doesn’t it?
Just means you have to see it from another angle.
My fondant work isn’t perfection but I’d say I did pretty good for a first time try.
What do you think?

It does indeed look divine. I can’t believe that was your first attempt at fondant, it’s beautifully done!
