One of my goals for this year was to try at least one new dessert a month. I’ve been too busy to do much testing but I finally made time to try something new. I chose orange meringue kisses, sugar cookies, mango mousse and passion fruit marshmallows seeds et al. If you’ve never made home made marshmallows before, try it. Try it now. You’ll never buy from the supermarket again.
Of course I couldn’t just make these desserts and give them away. I HAD to have a photo shoot with them. And why not design a dessert table while I was at it?
I happened across some gorgeous lace ribbons that my mom had and I knew I had to include them. The result was a beautiful and elegant black and white table setting with touches of yellow. A mixture of modern and traditional. And I LOVED it!
And here are the photos!
I was so happy we got a shot of the entire table. And did I mention that I added crystals to the backdrop? Divine!
Sugar cookies covered with embossed fondant. So pretty!
These verrines were to die for with a coconut cookie base, rich mango mousse and freshly grated coconut. Sublime! Oh and look out for the recipe!
Side note – The marshmallows didn’t make it to the table because they got forgotten out of the fridge and went bad. The horror!
